Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa, has joined thousands of people across the country in expressing shock and sadness at the murder of actor Sibusiso Khwinana. Khwinana was killed on Friday in Pretoria. He played the role of shy Lefa in the movie ‘ Matwetwe.’

He was attacked at Sterland Mall in Pretoria and fatally stabbed during an apparent robbery.
Mthethwa has labelled Khwinana the pride of Soshanguve and says the country has lost a great talent. DJ Black Coffee also expressed sadness and outrage at the actor’s death, asking what it would take to stem crime in the country.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane also expressed shock at the death of Khwinana on the day that slain Polokwane man Thoriso Themane was laid to rest. Maimane says that every life lost to crime is a national tragedy.
