The governor of the South African Reserve Bank Lesetja Kganyago has announced that the repo rate will remain unchanged at 6.75%. Kganyago says this was a unanimous decision by the Monetary Policy Committee.
This means that the the prime lending rate will remain at 10.25%.
He made the announcement during a briefing in Pretoria.
