Cape Town City’s coach Benny McCarthy is looking for a positive results when they host Golden Arrows in the Absa Premiership match at the Cape Town Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

While City have only lost one of their opening five league games, they have drawn three games, and find themselves in 10th spot on the table.

While McCarthy is expecting a tough game against Arrows, who are 8th on the log, he feels that this is a game that City should win.

The former Bafana Bafana star is pleased to have so many players returning to full fitness, and having already welcomed back Thabo Nodada, he is hopeful that Taariq Fielies might be available for Sunday, while Roland Putsche and Kouassi Kouadja are also on the mend.

McCarthy was extremely frustrated with his defence after the 3-3 draw against SuperSport United, and says he has been reshuffling a few combinations, but needs his players to be more consistent on game day.

McCarthy says the team needs to get back on track, and focus on working hard rather than relying on their talent.

Sunday’s game will also be City’s first match back at the Cape Town Stadium this season, and McCarthy is happy to finally return to the venue. – Report by Rob Delport
