Traffic in Cape Town has been brought to a standstill on the N2. This comes after taxi drivers have abandoned their vehicles in the middle of the freeway, blocking all the lanes.
The taxi operators are protesting against traffic fines.

They are demanding that the City of Cape Town and provincial government authorities reduce traffic fines for road offences.
Traffic has also been blocked from Woodstock main road inbound.
Meanwhile, police and traffic officials, as well as law enforcement agencies, have their hands full trying to control the situation.
